Delay of Checked Baggage

The Company will pay the Insured up to the Sum Assured in respect of the Insured’s emergency purchase of toiletries, medication and clothing to replace those contained in Checked Baggage, the arrival of which is delayed by more than 12 hours beyond the time of the Insured’s arrival at the intended destination outside of India. NOT COVERED :: 1) Delay of baggage when the intended travel destination is India. 2) Insured shall obtain written non-delivery confirmation from the Airline along with the period of delay, which must be submitted to the Insurance Company

2. Notify insurer: Call 24/7 helpline (e.g., Tata AIG Europ Assistance, HDFC ERGO Allianz) soon after.

3. Buy essentials and keep original receipts.

4. Once baggage delivered, note receipt time.

5. Submit within 30-60 days of return:

Claim form (online/app).

PIR from airline.

Receipts/bills for purchases.

Boarding passes, passport copy, policy.

Airline letter confirming delay reason/hours.

Bank details.

6. Insurer verifies and pays to your Indian bank (7-30 days usually).
