Waiver of Sub-Limits

Waiver of Sub-Limits (also called "No Sub-Limits" or "Without Sub-Limits" option) is an important upgrade for the medical coverage section in international travel policies. Standard plans often impose sub-limits on specific medical expenses (e.g., room rent, doctor fees, surgery, ICU — typically 1–10% of sum insured or fixed amounts).

This waiver removes those caps, allowing claims up to the full policy sum insured (e.g., USD 500,000–1,000,000) for eligible treatments. It is offered by many insurers automatically for under 61/51 years, and others in premium variants; not standard in domestic plans.

Applies mainly to Accident & Sickness medical expenses abroad.
